      Does anyone have a good reference for a textbook for English speakers learning Portuguese?
      Including grammar

      For example I see the preposition “pra” used like Spanish uses “para”
      “Samba pra Vinicius” by Toquinho is an example of this usage
      I hope to learn more on this
      I have a background of 3 years high school Spanish, not fluent now but just interested
      Thank you for any suggestions

      There is an on line site called “Hello Rusty” on YouTube teaching Portuguese that is helpful for spoken language

      I have a private student who has been using Duolingo website. He likes it.

      I am trying Duolingo
      I think that will be helpful
      It is fun and seems to have a lot of vocabulary and sentence structure involved

        I have been using Duolingo for 3 weeks
        I really like it
        5 minutes a day
        Better than a grammar book!
