another question about Lugar Comum

I get all the lyrics except “sal do Senhor”
I understand “salt of the Lord”
Is there any special significance ?
I believe salt has some Biblical associations
the expression “salt of the Earth” in English means “a good person”
the Dead Sea was an important source of salt for the Israel
Or is he just saying that all things come from the Lord ?
It’s kind of a spiritual song or mystical image of everything being “one”

I think you are right. Everything comes from the Lord. The fire of the sun, the salt in the sea.
