This song is just one of more than a hundred songs Toquinho and Vinicius de Moraes composed in partnership. The first song they wrote was "Como dizia o poeta", in 1971, which gave birth to a long partnership. Among all their songs, the most famous are probably Tarde em Itapoã, Para viver um grande amor, Regra três, Sei lá, O Bem-Amado, and A Tonga da Mironga do Kabuletê.

In addition to being a beautiful song recorded wonderfully by João Gilberto, "Coisa mais linda" is the name of a two-season series from Netflix premiered last year that tells a fictional story set in the 1950s, the beginning of the bossa nova movement. With many musical performances and good performances by the actors and actresses, it is a very nice series to watch that I highly recommend. Check it out!
